Malcolm X once said, “A race of people is like an individual man; until it uses its own talent, takes pride in its own history, expresses its own culture, affirms its own selfhood, it can never fulfill itself.” The stand is being taken due to injustice and killings of African Americans in America. African Americans are affirming their selfhood with the support of many. We are all living in a time of unprecedented history. This current movement represents the resilience, determination, and persistent of a race who demand equality.
